after meeting
This story is about men, high-level executives in some international corporation, whose daily lives are made up of a constant battle against time, financial statements, the management, the turnover, the sales figures and all the other burdensome details that make their days resemble nothing so much as an endless bout in the arena.
I was fascinated by the idea of taking a look at the kind of hidden competition and sometimes even crueller struggle that take place behind the neat, clean walls of corporate offices.
Though largely invisible to the outside world, meetings are a daily occurrence here. Just like any match, these meetings are limited in time, never of no importance, and always put the players to the test, and just like athletes trained to take part in competitive sports, the executives sit around the table and talk.
To get the decisions they want, to win the contracts or at the very least not to lose face or status within the corporation, they go to the limit, leaving wet trickles on their shirts and ties to tell the tale.
The images in this series are my own personal vision of wrestling in the business world.
